In his book, Are We Smart Enough to Know How Smart Animals Are? it tells us about the great difficulty that humans and the scientific community to recognize the cognitive, emotional and social amazing animals especially when these capabilities approach or even exceed those of humans. He teaches us the many scientific methodology errors made when researchers assess the abilities of the animals.
We learn a lot about the cognitive abilities of many animal species.
I have long resisted read books written by Wall but a recent interview he gave to the program Les Savanturiers (in French) (16-10: https://www.franceinter.fr/emissions/les-savanturiers/les -savanturiers-23-October-2016 ) opened my mind and made me read his latest book in its English version " Are We Smart Enough to Know How Smart Animals Are? ". I enjoyed it and it made me want to read his other books.
